Why Wild Trails

Not another crowdsourced pin map.

Every route here was walked, timed and photographed before it was published. If a bridge is out, we say so.

Honest elevation

Real barometric profiles, not smoothed guesses. You see every kicker climb before it hits your legs.

Water & shelter

Springs, huts, bivvy spots and the last shop before the ridge — pinned, dated and checked each season.

Offline first

GPX and vector tiles you download at the trailhead. No signal on the col? Doesn't matter.

Graded properly

Difficulty by terrain and exposure, not by distance. A flat 20 km bog is not an easy day.

Seasonal windows

When the snow clears, when the river is fordable, when the ticks arrive. Timing is half the route.

Leave no trace

Fragile sections are deliberately fuzzed. Some places stay wild by staying a little bit hard to find.
